Raissa & Jonathan’s wedding celebration at Molenvliet Vineyards in Stellenbosch was exactly that.
Three days of celebration, surrounded by the beauty of the Cape Winelands, with friends and family travelling from all over the world to be together. Every part of the weekend felt intentional, from the African-inspired rehearsal dinner on Friday evening to the spectacular wedding day itself, followed by a relaxed all-white brunch to close out the celebrations on Sunday.
It was more than a wedding.

Friday | An African-Inspired Rehearsal Dinner
The celebrations began on Friday evening with a rehearsal dinner that immediately set the tone for the weekend.
Rather than simply being a formal dinner before the wedding, the evening was an experience in itself — an African-inspired celebration filled with colour, culture, music and energy.
The sound of marimba music created an incredible atmosphere as guests gathered together, many of whom had travelled from different corners of the world to be there. African dancers added another layer to the evening, bringing movement and energy to the celebration and giving everyone a taste of the warmth and vibrancy that would carry through the weekend.
It was the perfect way to welcome everyone to South Africa and, more importantly, to give friends and family a chance to spend time together before the excitement of the wedding day began.
And with everyone finally in one place, the anticipation for Saturday was unmistakable.
Saturday | The Wedding Day
Then came the wedding day. And what a day it was.
Set against the beautiful backdrop of Molenvliet Vineyards in Stellenbosch, the day unfolded slowly, giving everyone the opportunity to truly enjoy it rather than rushing from one moment to the next.
There was something particularly special about the scale of the celebration. Guests had travelled from all over the world to witness Raissa & Jonathan say their vows, making the day feel like a meeting point for so many different chapters of their lives.
The ceremony was filled with emotion, surrounded by the people who had made the journey to celebrate alongside them.
And then came something that we absolutely loved about the way this wedding was planned — a midday siesta.
Rather than trying to squeeze every part of the celebration into one continuous schedule, the couple gave their guests time to pause after the ceremony. Everyone could head back, rest, freshen up and recharge before returning for the evening reception.
Because this wasn’t just about getting through a wedding timeline.
It was about enjoying the weekend.
And that little pause meant that when everyone came back together for the evening, the energy had completely shifted.
The formalities of the day gave way to celebration.
The evening reception was filled with all the things you hope for at a wedding — incredible energy, laughter, good food, music, dancing and a room full of people who had come a very long way simply to be there.

The weekend came to a close with an elegant all-white brunch, giving everyone one final opportunity to gather together before heading home.
After the colour and energy of Friday night and the grandeur of Saturday’s wedding, there was something wonderfully relaxed about the Sunday send-off.
Dressed in white and surrounded by the people who had made the weekend so memorable, Raissa & Jonathan’s guests could sit back, reminisce about the celebrations and enjoy one last meal together.
And perhaps that is what made this wedding weekend so special.
It wasn’t only about the wedding itself.
It was about creating space for people to connect.
For family and friends who had travelled across continents to finally be in the same place. For old friendships to be picked up exactly where they had left off. For new memories to be made. And for Raissa & Jonathan to have more than a wedding day to remember — they had an entire weekend filled with moments that belonged to them and the people they love.
