Some wedding days are worth waiting for.
For Wilmah and George, their wedding was originally planned for 2025. After their celebration was postponed, they finally got to say “I do” this on 21 August 2026 at The Salene in Stellenbosch.
And looking back, it feels as though everything happened exactly when it was meant to.
The weather was beautiful, the Stellenbosch mountains provided the most incredible backdrop, and the day was filled with love, smiles and the people who mean the most to them.
As Stellenbosch wedding photographers and videographers, we were incredibly grateful to be there to document it all.
A Beautiful Wedding at The Salene Stellenbosch

The Salene is set in one of the most beautiful parts of the Stellenbosch Winelands, and it provided an incredible backdrop for Wilmah and George’s wedding day.
The ceremony took place on the lawn, with the Stellenbosch mountains stretching out behind them. It was one of those days where the setting seemed almost too perfect.
And the weather? It couldn’t have been better if Wilmah had ordered it herself. The combination of beautiful sunshine, green lawns and mountain views created the perfect atmosphere for an elegant outdoor wedding ceremony.
Wilmah’s Stunning Bridal Look

Wilmah looked absolutely incredible on her wedding day.
She wore a beautiful gown by The Victorian Bride, paired with Jimmy Choo shoes and jewellery from Mr Self Portrait.
Her bridal preparations were filled with excitement and anticipation as she got ready to finally marry George after such a long wait.
Her bridesmaids looked equally beautiful in dresses by Oddmuse London, creating a stylish and cohesive bridal party.
From the smallest details to the final look, everything came together beautifully.
A Groom Completely in Love

One of the moments we loved most about Wilmah and George’s wedding was watching George see his bride for the first time.
His eyes had only love and adoration for her.
Throughout the day, those little moments continued — the glances across the room, the smiles, the gentle touches and the quiet moments between the two of them.
These are the moments that make wedding photography so special.
Of course, we want to capture the beautiful portraits and important formal moments, but we’re equally interested in documenting the moments that happen naturally between them.
Because years from now, it may be one of those small glances that brings the entire day rushing back.

Celebrating With Their Closest Family & Friends
After postponing their original wedding date, finally being surrounded by their closest family and friends made the celebration even more meaningful.
The day was filled with laughter, happy tears, hugs, dancing and plenty of celebration.
We loved spending time with Wilmah and George and getting to know the people closest to them.
There was something incredibly special about being welcomed into such an important day and watching two people finally get the wedding celebration they had been waiting for.
The Details That Made the Day Special
The beautiful setting at The Salene was complemented by elegant styling and thoughtful details throughout the wedding.
Glee Events brought the décor together, while the bridesmaids’ dresses were supplied by Oddmuse London.
There were also plenty of thoughtful touches for the bridal party, including bridesmaids’ slippers and gift bags from Dear Brides & Co., as well as matching pyjamas from Boohoo.
The wedding cake was created by Cakes by Wade, with a special Lobola/Roora cake from Cape Celebration Cakes.
And when it was time to celebrate, Sungano the Host kept things moving as MC, while DJ Sabs provided the soundtrack for the evening.
The celebration was finished off with dancing on the clouds from Dancing in the Clouds Cape Town.

Every detail came together to create a day that felt elegant, joyful and completely personal to Wilmah and George.
Capturing a Stellenbosch Wedding Through Photo & Film
For us at Flying Swan Media, wedding photography and videography isn’t simply about documenting what happened.
It’s about remembering how it felt.
These are the pieces that come together to tell the story of a wedding day.
The anticipation before the ceremony.
The nerves as the bride walks down the aisle.
The look on a groom’s face when he sees his bride.
The hugs from parents and family.
The laughter between friends.
The quiet moments when nobody is watching.
The emotions and love felt throughout the day.
For Wilmah and George, we wanted their photographs and films to preserve not only how beautiful their wedding at The Salene looked, but how deeply loved and celebrated they were.
A Stellenbosch Wedding Worth the Wait
Sometimes the unexpected delays in life lead to something even more beautiful.
Although Wilmah and George had originally planned to get married in February 2025, their wedding at The Salene felt completely worth the wait.
The weather was perfect.
The Stellenbosch mountains were glowing in the background.
Their closest people were there.
And most importantly, they finally got to celebrate their marriage surrounded by the people they love.
Wilmah & George, thank you for trusting us to capture such a special chapter in your story.
We loved spending the day with you both and your wonderful family and friends.
Your wedding was absolutely worth the wait. 🤍
